Senior Scientist level II / III: Antibody Engineer (Library Build) in Discovery

We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated and hardworking candidate to support the development of the Company's next-generation immunotherapy platform that focuses on bispecific technology. NovalGen's pipeline is broad but balanced, going after clinically validated targets with the potential of becoming a ground-breaking novel therapeutic.

As a Senior Scientist level II/III, you will join a rapidly growing world-class team and will have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the growth of this exciting new biotechnology start-up. You will be part of the Discovery team and your primary role will be the identification, characterisation, validation and production of novel bispecific antibodies to new targets. In addition, you will actively participate in all tasks required for bispecific target development to support preclinical as well as clinical studies. You will be creative and flexible, with effective time management skills and a can-do approach to challenges. You will be required to keep current with relevant scientific literature, present project results to internal and external parties, prepare reports and maintain accurate and detailed experimental records.
Requirements
- PhD or industry equivalent level of experience in molecular biology with at least 3 year's experience working with antibodies, preferably in an industrial setting
- Experience in building phage and/or yeast display libraries and performing antibody selections is essential
- Experience with managing antibody immunisations is desirable
- Expertise in protein biochemistry, mammalian cell culture and recombinant protein production/purification
- Strong working knowledge of antibody structure and function
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Working knowledge of the drug discovery process
- Excellent publication record or named on patents
- Team player with ability to work independently
