Samit graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Pharmacy from Kings College in 1989. Within one year of qualifying and in spite of limited funds, he purchased his first retail outlet. By 1995 this had mushroomed into a chain of 22 retail units, which were then sold to a large high street multiple. Following the sale, he went onto read for a MBA at the prestigious London Business School and was part of the team who won the INSEAD European Business Plan Award 1998. In 1999, following the completion of his MBA and armed with his final year thesis, the B&S Group was established. From humble beginnings it grew rapidly and is now a leader in its field.
Samit is passionate about the business and believes that clear business goals, good people and prudent cost management are the cornerstone of the group's success.
Alpa Hathi (Leadership & Development Director)
Alpa Hathi holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Studies from Manchester University. She has held senior management positions, leading large sales teams at blue chips organisations such as, Unilever and ICL. She joined the B&S Group in 1999 and has lead various departments including Sales, Operations and HR. Alpa has carved a niche for herself as the group's Leadership and Development Director. She is the glue that holds the organisation together and is a key contributor to the success of the business.
Prash Patel (Chief Financial Officer)
Prash qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London. He then spent a number of years as Finance Director for a food company managing numerous departments including finance, warehousing and logistics. Most recently, for the past 4 years, Prash worked in the motor industry revolutionizing the electric car market as their European Finance Director. Prash's remit, alongside managing the Finance team, is to help deliver the financial disciplines of B&S Group, yet retaining the flexibility of a family company in line with the company's vision.
Kamlesh Patel (Pharmaceutical Development Director)
Kamlesh has been a member of the B&S family since 2005. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and has wealth of experience in Regulatory, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Information Technology and Project Management. His passion is to continuously develop his leadership skills and engage himself in new projects. He is constantly searching for new ways of improving the organisation and believes that efficiency is the key to a sustainable successful business.
